I am always going to keep you safe, no matter what. Thank you for the ways you keep me safe also.
To me, this is what chosen family means. I got your back, you matter to me, and I will take care of you and protect you. Protectiveness is not about doubting the other person’s competency. We help each other build competency while supporting and defending each other.
I had the idea and wrote it a few days ago. Like other traditions of our family, it helps me! It helps me feel stable.

Speaking of love, I made some art of hearts.
Needing paper for my art retreat, I asked the worker at the new age store in town to wrap two purchases in tissue paper. So I tried painting on the red tissue paper, and it was a learning experience. The paint went through the paper. The heart is very fragile.
When I picked up the art, a hole tore. Ming helped me hang it up to dry, and we saw there were actually many holes in the paper.
When the paint went through the paper, it left a heart / strawberry shape on my desk.
So I added a little more red and tried to print from it. That was a fun experiment. Then I put watercolor on the print.
Happy to have my own art retreat and make arts I otherwise might not have made.
family stability
A few days ago I made this also. It has a symbol I love which makes me think of the 4 of wands and family stability, like the thing Ming and I say.
Squares feel so strong, and the curves of the clover.
