new facts

Hello, reader. How are you doing? There are new facts I want to tell you. They’re important to me.

radical mental health

One is that my new Disabled Love column on Dissonant Times is available. It’s about how radical mental health saved my life, what motivates me, and the power of telling the truth.

disabled love

Please read it and share it with the people you love!

I need all the knowledge of my body, in order to do the work I’m here on earth to do: Radical Mental Health

I’ll always be grateful to Dissonant Times for asking me to write a column and helping my ideas reach many people.

epi pen

Ok, on to the next of the new facts. I carry narcan for opioid overdose, and a rescue inhaler for asthma in my bag at all times. But recently I started carrying an epi pen also. That helps people who are in anaphylactic shock.

If we are ever out and about and you need assistance, please tell me. Ming knows how to use the medicines better than I do, but I ‘m the one holding them.

If necessary, rip the bag off my body, dump the contents onto the ground, and use the material which is needed. Don’t be shy in an emergency. Thank you.

March 7 Transqueer Fat Disabled Dance

We are transqueer fat disabled dancing on March 7th from 1-2:30pm at Alton Baker Park in Eugene, Oregon. It’s the Nobel Peace area of the park.

As always, it’s free, all ages, and a welcoming space. Please feel free to invite friends and share the flier anywhere.

March dance

Rain or shine, we will be shaking our asses for the revolution. Thank you for helping to create a world where all bodies belong.

substack

I started a substack at the recommendation of my ex who has a substack, and I was like– well, if more people would read my work, maybe this is a good idea.

Then another friend told me they support Nazis, which sent me into a sad spiral with lots of philosophical pontification about boycotts, integrity, how to resist evil, and trade-offs of harm.

I’m in a freeze state and open to ideas. Please comment or message me if you have insight. Meanwhile, this is my substack if you would like to subscribe in case I do more there.

questions for discussion

Can you recommend something like substack that isn’t?

What’s saved your life?

Will you dance with me and my crazy friends?

Are there any new medicines you carry?

How did you get so beautiful?

Good at listening to good listeners.

Ghost is the best alternative to Substack, which continues to be popular because people can start a substack for free and it’ll always be free to post, whereas ghost is a subscription service from the start.

An alternative to both is beehiiv, which allows you to post for free as long as you have less than 2500 subscribers. After this you do have to pay a subscription.

Like substack, both ghost and beehiiv have the expectation that some of your subscribers will be paying/donating/supporting subscribers, which enables high subscriber number newsletters to pay for their costs and even make money. Unlike substack, they don’t take a cut of subscriber income.

They’re both good alternatives to substack, which does indeed continue to host and profit from extremist newsletters that do include actual Nazis.
