apology transforms energy

Hello, reader. How are you doing? I love how apology transforms energy. This is part two to a post from last month called “what apology is for.”

I’ve been thinking about magic words, like “thank you” and “I’m sorry.” Magic words play with trust and power, social concepts that I think about all day.

Love is my life, what I’m here on earth to do. I love through radical mental health, dance, one-on-one relationships, chosen family, singing to buildings, feeding strangers, community, and healing work. Right now I’m trying to love by writing this sentence to you.

Transforming energy is important! Stuck energy is stressful and bad for our health. I don’t want anything to impede my spiritual growth.

Besides how apology transforms energy, here are some other ways.

  • a truth-filled joke which makes someone burst into laughter
  • sex
  • going to sleep and waking up in the morning
  • dancing until I lose my constraints
  • physical impact
  • a sparkling pause of silence
  • a nourishing meal
  • ritual
  • haircut
  • a shower or bath
  • singing
  • a yell or scream
  • saying a real “no”
  • crying
  • fixing something
  • giving or receiving a powerful gift
  • childbirth
  • seeing a dramatic celestial event
  • going outside if you’re inside, or inside if you’re outside

Many people experience apology as making themselves smaller, or giving up power. But when I apologize I tap into something greater. So grounded, I feel immense inside.

That’s how I get strong to tell the truth. I ask Parent Earth, my ancestors, angels, and all sorts of heavenly forces for help.

That’s why apology feels so good– contact with the divine is blissful. I’m speaking as more than myself. What could be more pleasurable than letting God pour through me like wind roaring through a canyon?

Trust feels like that too. It’s pleasurable because I’m connected to something greater. I’m safe to trust because I’m grounded in faith.

I don’t think I told you about my new zine, hat genius 35. It’s poems about grief, access needs, mythologies, autism, trans-ing, safety, race, desire. Come and get it.

Good at listening to the noise until it makes sense.
