Hello, reader! How are you doing? There are a few things I feel like sharing with you. One is a tech funding project for a family I love.

My friends in a beautiful wooded area live a rural life doing permaculture. They are respectful to Parent Earth, nurturing many animals and plants on their farm. If you have change to spare, please consider chipping in for the tech needs of a creative 10 year old.
I remember how wildly full of life and intelligence I was, as a 10 year old kid. I was appreciated as a writer and poet, which I’ll always be grateful for. Yet I wish other parts of me were nurtured too. I love science!
essay of preparedness
I have a writer hero Sharon Astyk who is a guiding light. She has important ideas about community building, plants, and how illnesses affect our lives. Sharon Astyk recently came out with this new essay on preparedness that I thought you might like. She makes good choices seem possible and non-intimidating,
I’m curious about different ways to make a go-bag and what to include. The post is here.
Whether we use them sooner, use them later, or as part of our emotional wellness to have them on hand, go bags are helpful. Like prayer, go bags can help us think about what matters to us at the very least.
Seed saving, neighbor loving, and skill shares are cool too. So much food for thought in Sharon Astyk’ work.
sharing with you
As for other things I might enjoy sharing with you, I made this art. The part that’s black now was originally highlighter yellow.
It’s on reclaimed product packaging cardstock, and I might like it combined with many circles, but on its own, I’m not keen on it. But my friend liked it, so I will gift it to that friend.
Recently I bought a chayote squash on a whim–it had been many years since I ate one. I’m a better cook now, and I made it very delicious.
Yum yum! I cooked it with onion, poblano, salt, and pepper. Yes, please! Ming loved it too.
potato heaven
I asked Ming to buy us some peanut oil and roasted our organic gold potatoes in peanut oil instead of the usual olive oil, for breakfast. Wow! So good!
They stayed moist and came out so tender and comforting. Not saying I won’t use olive again, but it’s great to have potatoes all different ways.
