Hello, reader. How are you doing? I want to share my venmo. Maybe you’re looking for a way to support me, my art, my activism, or my writing if you enjoy it over time. You could specify an area to apply the funds, like web hosting or zine postage. Or Ming and I can ponder how to best spend the money and make a good choice.
Just an idea for people who want to give back and like to share money as support. There are so many ways to give.
This is my venmo. @LauraMarie-Taylor
Recently Ming and I joined a radical faerie community where asking for money help is common. That’s why it’s on my mind. In the group chat people are asking for help with gas money, vet bills, and pet care supplies.
Something new I’m trying lately is Spanish lessons with a teacher in Guatemala. We talk via video conferencing. Learning more Spanish is good for my mind just in and of itself. But also I hope to travel to central and south America someday. Ming and I are dreaming and planning.
Passport, Spanish lessons, and travel can add up. Thank you to those of you who helped me and Ming with travel and moving before.

Also there’s talk of migration to bluesky from other popular social media. I don’t know if I’ll really start using bluesky. (Looks like mastodon which I tried for a while then mostly forgot about.)
But here is my url in case you would like to connect there. Who knows!

if I knew you were coming I’d have baked a cake
Also I’d like to tell you that my dear chosen family member and I baked a cake. It’s a maple miso pecan mochi cake. We made it dairy-free with earth balance instead of butter, but it has eggs. It’s gluten-free.
Wow, it’s one of the best cakes I’ve ever tasted, but it’s so different. Almost like it’s its own thing.
Cake is comforting and has a certain texture. This cake is chewy and novel. I love the learning experience. The recipe is here.
