Dear friend, thank you for using your white privilege to help others and improve the world.  Thank you for using your thin privilege and hot privilege to help the world too, including helping people like me who might not have thin and hot privilege.

reliance

I love how you remind me of Ming: happy to help me, but not in a way that keeps me down.  You enjoy helping, but you’re even more ready to help me develop a skill myself so I don’t need to rely on you or anyone.  It’s an empowering type of help.

(Unfortunately, I’ve witnessed “help” that was about the ego of the helper, or about keeping the helped person dependent.)

Thank you for doing life with me!  Thank you for interdepending with me with consent.  I love your good no’s and your good yes’es.  It’s a joy how you pull me in, and it’s a deep kindness to know where your no is also.  I respect your consent.

fun

I love having all different kinds of friends who bring different forms of meaning and fun.  When I thank God for all I have, I thank her for you twice!

I love you!

Good at listening to the noise until it makes sense.
