happy solstice

We met a lady at a gas station minimart in Maricopa, California.  She was waiting for the bathroom.  She wore a beautiful Frida Kahlo teeshirt and has a house in Las Vegas as well as a house in Old Orcutt where her grandkids live.  She was headed to Vegas while we were headed to my homeland.  It felt funny to meet at such an under-populated place, have a small, warm conversation, and head in opposite directions.

Anyway, here we are, safe and happy.  To celebrate, here’s a picture of a salad.

Good at listening to the noise until it makes sense.
