Yesterday we went birding at Consumnes. We saw sandhill cranes and kingfishers. Those alone would be enough to make my day. But we saw black-necked stilts too. And lots more. I really wanted a pale blue cotton shower curtain. But they didn’t have that at Target. I ended up with a dark beige polyester shower curtain. Erik’s doing yoga and we’re listening to Jimi Hendrix. That is all.

I forgot to say that there was an earthquake yesterday while we were at the museum. The building shook for just a couple seconds. A woman was sitting there drawing in a sketchbook. “That was lovely,” she said.

Yesterday we bought molasses at Berkeley Bowl after weeks and weeks of being out. So now our oatmeal is extra-tasty.

Someone on freecycle was asking for olives to cure, and they said they wanted thumb-sized olives. Someone moved the other apartment complex’s dumpster in front of their parking lot’s gate.
